State Chief Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi has said that the institution he leads has been hit by a convict for corruption.
Lumez has made this statement by responding to allegations by former Constitutional Court Chairman Enver Hasani, who has claimed Lumez has forged the Jurisprudence exam.
Lumez has added that Hasan, along with him, wants to see the Prosecutorial System in Kosovo fail, reports Online Economy.
I would like to tell you that the prosecution body and chief state prosecutor have been hit by a convicted criminal for corruption who are even supporting several interest groups who often speak in the name of justice and really want to see Kosovo's prosecutorial system fail, imagining and slandering false situations”.
The charges against him were considered fabricated, until he said he would continue his work, not allowing the institution of the chief state prosecutor to be denigrate.
I assure you that I will never allow the State Attorney's institution to be denigrated, nor my work on fabricated charges, nor will I ever back down and fear the threats of my destruction”.
I believe in the power of justice and with this belief to the end I will exercise my duty as the Constitution and the law of our country allow and I will always ask for legal problems to be solved through legal ways, not through low-minded research by the person convicted of corruption”. /economics/
