KMDLNJ reports that on October 27th it has been informed that it has been detained in a 48-hour Ugur Toksoy police ban, Turkey's citizen, with a temporary stance in the Republic of Kosovo and employed in the NGO “Atmosphere” in Prizren.
“in this context KMDLNJ considers that the arrest of Toxoy, as well as the request for extradition, with an accelerated procedure, is politically motivated and, as such, must be rejected by Kosovo authorities”, said KMDLNJ's response.
KMDLNI also considers that the extradition of one prisoner to another state, at the request of that state is international duty, but that if it is estimated that the extradited person can undergo a brutal, inhuman investigation and that a physical and psychic torture with crass , in addition to risking health, seriously life, extradition should not be implemented, Kosovo would be identified as a country that contributed to human rights violations through extradition.
Turkey's up-to-date <x0). Ugur Toxoy would be extradited to Turkey, he would not have a fair, fair and impartial judgment, and that is additional reason that extradition should not happen”, said in response.
According to KMDLNJ, Kosovo has no reason to be confused in the power struggle between Erdogan and Güllen as if it should not be subjected to any dictatorship, conditioning or blackmail, by neither side, but in the concrete case of Ugur Tokyo, it should be called to international conventions for human rights.
The extradition procedures are known, so Kosovo authorities must respect them and not obey a political request by Turkish authorities, such as the Ugur Toksoy case.
The KMDLNj calls on Kosovo authorities to determine in the concrete case for human rights protection and not to submit to a completely political request and not extradite Mr. Ugur Toxoy in Turkey, otherwise, will become collaborators and accomplices of all national and international human rights documents.
