The candidate of the Vetevendosje Movement for mayor of Prizren, Mytaher Haskuka, who is in a run-off with PDK candidate Shaqir Totaj, says that, following the support of the electorate of other political parties that are not part of the runoff, will succeed as Prizren's next chairman.
Haskuka, during an interview for Kosovo Press, has declared she expects to reach 50 per cent of the votes of about 34 thousand voters supporting other parties for change.
“I think that out of the 60 thousand voters roughly that have been going to say more than 34 thousand actually are out of Vetevendosje and outside the PDK have voted for change and those who are once about 34/35 thousand voters who haven't voted in the runoff I believe will be for changes and in that respect I think we will pass 50 percent and take the leadership of the municipality on November 19th<1>, he said.
The contender for the first of Prizren's historic city says he has held several meetings with political subjects that are not in a run-off in this town and that he expects their support for the runoff.
He believes Prizren's electorate will not vote the PDK candidate because this political subject for three consecutive mandates has ruled.
“The majority of Prizren citizens are for a change in this respect most citizens have voted for change, but have voted for change in different parties, now the address of change is emerging that Vetevendosje will be said and in that respect I think all of them will join us during the election process to change the situation in Prizren or governance in Prizren. I have meetings with all political subjects and in that respect I hope we will have their support for the runoff ... I think that the electorate of most of these political parties will be pointed to me as we once said. The PDK has ruled with Prizren for three mandates, and I don't think that citizens will allow for another command mandate even for the same problems to continue “, he said.
Haskuka also sees the overthrow and result against PDK candidate Shaqir Totja, where they divide only 4,075 easily by relying on the electorate of political parties that failed to be in the runoff for Prizren.
I think it's a figure that closes very easily, and I believe that on November 19th, by those 30 thousand voters who have voted other parties a large part will come from our side and reverse the figure of 4 thousand and we'll be victorious in the November 19th” elections, he said.
After November 19th, trusting in his victory, Mytaher Haskuka vows that I will return the efficiency of productivity and employment to the city of Prizren, with the main focus of economic development and the opening of new jobs.
“Brenda 43 vows that I had unveiled during the election campaign most of them are about economic development from tourism to increasing diaspora investments in Prizren and I believe Prizren has always been a city of productivity and employment, and to return this epithet, I believe my leadership for the next four years”, Hasku added.
Regarding their expectations for more votes in Prizren's city, Haskuka says it has prevented the large advertising they have done against his candidates as leader of Prizren, as well as candidates for the Municipal Assembly.
While, the Vetevendosje Movement, according to results released so far by the CEC, has won a total of 7 seats in Prizren's municipal assembly. /B. Ibishi/
