Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj hosted Finland's Foreign Affairs Minister Timo Soini at the meeting.
Haradinaj praised Finland's support for Kosovo in its statehood processes and its commitment to the country's European path. He also praised the precious role of former Finland's president, Martti Ahtisaari, as UN Secretary General in the Kosovo status talks held in Vienna.
Prime Minister Haradinaj said Kosovo's perspective is in the EU and that Kosovo institutions are committed to implementing the European agenda, especially in the area of rule of law and in the country's economic development. He said Kosovo needs support on the path to European integration and its membership in international organisations and mechanisms, primarily in U NESTO and INTERPOL.
Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed that Kosovo is a factor of stability and peace in the region, and it is contributing to the advancement of good neighbourly relations, including Serbia.
He said the new dialogue platform with Serbia would be based on a new time frame and on political and civic inclusion in the country and should result in mutual recognition between the two countries.
Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed that Kosovo and Finland's co-operation in all areas must deepen with particular emphasis on economic development and foreign investments.
Finland's Foreign Minister Timo Soini, praising Prime Minister Haradinaj, said the two countries have a good relations story and they must continue and deepen.
He said Kosovo as the entire Balkan region has European prospects and Finland will continue to help in the integration process.

Finland's Foreign Affairs Minister, Timo Soini, confirmed further co-operation between Finland and Kosovo in the future as well.
