Some citizens have lost their lives and many others have been injured in New York today, when an attacker crashed into a truck at the bikers and pedestrians at the Lower Manhattan and hit another vehicle during the Halloween party, police reported.
The attacker after carrying out the attack left the vehicle holding a false weapon before being shot by police and arrested, American officials said.
The motive for the attack is not yet known. The incident occurred near several schools, while the city celebrated Halloween.
Emergency services said the incident occurred at 15:06, in Chambers and West Streets, in the TriBeca district.
New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo and President Bill de Blasio were informed of the incident at the scene.
President Donald Trump has also been informed of the attack, the White House announced.
