Croatia reminds Serbia of border map without Kosovo accepted in 1878

After the recent provocation of Serbian Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Aleksandar Vuciqi's roar for Kosovo, it is really time to remind our neighbours of some historical facts, writes Croatian portal Dnevni.hr today. If we rule out the short and successful rule of Car Dusan, who during the period of civil war [...]

If we rule out the short and successful rule of Car Dusan, who during the period of civil war in the Byzantine Empire took advantage of the state of power in the Balkans and temporarily expanded Serbia's borders, without ever facing his army with any other military force in the field of war, then we must admit that Serbia was a small and insignificant nation, without any importance in this part of Europe.

Without Kosovo, Metohija

It is also not in vain to compare the boundaries of Croatia and Serbia, at the time when current citizenship was realised. Serbia's Kingdom has been recognised as a state after the Berlin Congress in 1878. International recognition referred to Serbia's immediate borders seen on the map from 1878.

As you can see, on that map it is not, as the author refers to Kosovo, Kosovo and Metohia. Were it not for the intervention of Britain, France and Russia in 1913, Kosovo would remain with Albania at the time it was diplomaticly recognised. But Albania, which declared its independence from Ottoman Turkey in 1912, was considered the client of Austria-Hungary and Italy, while other major powers wanted friends of their rivals to be small. Britain, France, and Russia therefore founded the Ambassador Conference, which on July 29, 1913, accepted Albania within its wrinkled borders. Kosovo and part of Metohija (it is about the Dukagjin Plains of Our Explaining), including Prizren, despite the majority of the population being Albanians, surrendered to Serbia, friends of France, Russia and England, while Montenegro (the other Russian associate) won Peja and Gjakova. The cassodian veto of major powers for Kosovo's right to national self-rule sowed the seed of all the problems that emerged already.

Serbian myths

I don't know why so-called natives are afraid to say these historical facts publicly. Kosovo belongs only to their mythology (Serbian our clarification). Historically seen, what is truly due is within the internationally accepted borders from 1878. Of course, first Principata and then the Kingdom of Serbia needed further expansion, so by aggression, genocide, terrorism, but even with the great help of world powers, there was an expansion that could be envied.

Croatia achieved its current state very late, specifically on January 15th of 1992, when, at today's borders, it was recognised by most countries. We Croats too have a long history of far-reaching borders, but we have been forced to accept these conditions. In Hercegov's bosses, we have an abundance of hundreds of thousands of Croatians, but we don't interfere with it. With a response and no resistance, we have accepted a reality of international politics.

Ideal Imaginative

In Serbia there are no such problems, since they have always been led by irrational leaders. They seem to like it. Imaginity is a wonderful thing in politics and therefore Serbia maintains vigilance and thus constantly dreams. But were it not for the Croats who throughout history were led by anatomical, disturbing, treacherous and real fools, this dream would never come true. Our politicians introduced us to the Kingdom of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia, which became the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, which was in fact Serbia the Great. In that absolute monarchy, in which parliament had insignificant influence, all duties of any importance were reserved for Serbs. Of the 200 generals, two were Croats, one of whom was on a permanent mission to Albania. Only a prominent diplomat has been Croatian. In Bosnia, of the 30 judges who were forced retired, 29 were Croats. Croatian teachers in large numbers were in Old Serbia and Macedonia, territories which in religious and cultural views differ from Croatian ones.

While Croatian babies achieved Serbian teachers. The police were fully Serb and organised according to the Russian carist police model. She put fear through the spy network. Thousands were on the police salary list. Through torture of prisoners who refused to sue their friends and through arbitrariity and the rudeness of administrative sanctions, police could try without providing an appeal to judicial bodies.

For us Croats are desperate because there were many traitors and servants of the regime back then. Those people, like today, many so-called leftist and southignostalgics were attracted with benefits for personal interest, broadcast Time.net the writing of this portal.

We're giving up our story

Despite all that was said, the problem is not Serbs, but Croats who easily give up their history and the state. Without this part of the Croatian nation, Serbian imperialism would never pose a serious threat. Sudden, we remain living in permanent neighborhoods

The uncertainty led by the same political elites as ever unconventional and anti-popular, which the Homeland has no meaning for. With this look, we can envy Serbs, as those rulers, who do not feed the myths on Great Serbia, immediately liquidate it. Our situation is quite different. Here those who do not want Croatia kill those who would die for it.
