Ahmeti: Our plan to clean up the political blockades

The Pristina municipality has managed to collect payments for direct waste collection in line with the January 1st 2018 law. So citizens will pay for the collection of waste in the municipality, not in the postquest, and in this case the municipality will have the opportunity to divide the city in some areas and the garbage collection will become more efficient.

With this plan, all neighborhoods will be included in the regular collection of remains. Following the piloting of waste sharing in the Dardania neighbourhood, the Pristina municipality in co-operation with international partners/donators will organise a feasibility study on waste management.

Through these concrete steps, it is expected that within the second mandate there will be radical change in waste management within Pristina, with what cases the blockade that has so far been made to this municipality on the part of the company “Cleaning”.
