The AGK called on relevant institutions to investigate this case as soon as possible.
“Colegu Cateazi has been the target of ongoing attacks and threats in the past as well. Unfortunately, some of these cases have yet to be discovered, while we expect independent investigations and quick epilogue. Investigations into this case should lead to the actual investigation of all allegations”, said the AGK's response.
The AGK also says it will monitor this case by providing support to fellow Kaitazi in this serious situation for him.
“Sulmes such as these present serious concern for journalists' safety and media freedom in our country. This year marks significant increases in cases where victims of violence are journalists”, said in response.
