Supremei explains the reasons for lowering the sentence on Edmond Lajci for killing his wife

The entity, the Supreme Court, has decided to reduce the sentence of Edmond Lajci from life imprisonment to 30 years in prison for the murder of his wife, Judge Ukella.
According to the report, the Supreme has estimated that first and second-degree courts have not implemented Article 41 of the Criminal Code concerning the proclamation of a life sentence.
“According to the Supreme Court's assessment, part of the circumstances considered particularly serious had no support in the evidence, while some of them constitute elements of the criminal work itself and, for this reason, could not justify the pronunciation of the most severe, legalised punishment of”.
The Supreme Community pointed out that eternal imprisonment can only be pronounced when there are especially serious circumstances that clearly distinguish concrete cases from the common cases of the same criminal act.

Lajci was charged that on April 16, 2017, about 8:00 a.m., at his residence in Pec, he was deprived of his wife's life by gunning, the victim of Ukela, because of the ongoing problems the defendant had had had with the victim, practicing psychological and physical violence earlier.
On the critical day, however, Lajci had once shot a firearm at the victim, shooting him at the front of his head, and the victim's sudden death has resulted.
