The ministry responds to “Vita”: AUV has pledged that report will be submitted no later than 27 July

In her response, the ministry has done what it has asked for the Chief Executive Chief of the Food and Veterinary Agency for the procedure to be completed as soon as possible.

According to the ministry, the chief executive of this agency has confirmed that the final report will be submitted no later than July 27th.

“Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, in the interest of fair information of citizens and farmers, clarifys public opinion concerning the statement published by the economic operator V ITA. First, the ministry has made no public or official pledges that the results of the tests would be published on July 13th 2026. For this reason, the claim that a promised term has been violated does not stand. Official checks conducted by the Food and Veterinary Agency are conducted in line with the Food Law and legislation in force. Receiving laboratory results is only part of the official control procedure. Before drawing conclusions, administrative, technical and legal verifications must also be completed so that the final report will be complete, accurate and tested” is said in the ministry's announcement, providing further details.

“Publicing partial results or separate analyses prior to the completion of the official procedure would be contrary to the principles of official control and could lead to misparation of the findings. The ministry has asked the chief executive of the Food and Veterinary Agency for the procedure to be completed as soon as possible, fully respecting legal requirements and professional standards. The chief executive chief has confirmed that the final report will be submitted no later than July 27th, 2026, and, if all analyses and verifications are completed earlier, the report will be submitted and released even before that time of”, it is said in the ministry's announcement.
