Over 35 thousand fines in just six months, that's how many drivers were denied a driver's license in Pec.

The Regional Police Directorate in Pec has indicated that during the period of January 1st-30, 2026, 35 thousand and 265 fines have been declared.
Through a media communique by Peja Police in addition to fines, there have been another 1 000 and 632 long-term vehicle protection measures imposed between three months and a year, as well as 3 thousand and 47 saws have pronounced negative points
"Regional Director of Police in Pec, through police stations and Regional Road Communications Unit, under the implementation of operational activities and measures to increase road traffic safety during the 01.01.2026 - 30.06.2026 period, implementing legislation in force in the field of road communication, has taken measures against traffic offenders as follows:
- They've pronounced 35,265 fines for countering communications.
- They've pronounced 1,632 fines with safety measures to stop driving during the duration of three (3) months until a (1) year.
- They've pronounced 3,047 fines with negative points, in accordance with the legal provisions in force", it says in the communique.
The announcement further states that these results reflect the police's continued commitment to law enforcement, accident prevention and increased security for all participants in communications.
Because we are in the summer season, when there is a significant increase in vehicle flow and the number of drivers in traffic, police urge all drivers, bikers, bicycles and pedestrians to comply with traffic regulations, adjust speed with road conditions, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances, and increase caution during the <x1 movement, the communique says,
