Mamdan: Netanyah will not be welcomed to New York

Mamdani said the US government has the opportunity to join the International Criminal Tribunal (GJPN) and implement its arrest order against Netanyah.

There's something I want to see happen. We're talking about someone who has been charged with crimes against humanity, someone who visited this city many times and who was welcomed by the former mayors”, Mamdani said.

He added that with his arrival at the helm of the city, this approach will change.

I want to make it clear that this welcome ends with me. I will not welcome Netanyahu or any other war criminal when he comes to this town”, he said.

Mamdan's statements come at a time when the Gaza war and the Israeli government's actions continue to be the subject of fierce international debate.
