MPB arrests, Prosecution: Suspected to benefit from illegally releasing residence permits

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina has announced that, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police and the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), it has banned for 48 hours three people, after months of investigation and implementation of separate investigative measures.


According to the prosecution, two of the detained persons are officials at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, one at the Foreign Division and the other at the Civil Record Agency (ARC).

Suspects with initials F. St. and G.J. They are suspected of criminal activity “Using official duty or authority”, while D.K. Suspected of “falsification of” documents.

According to the ongoing investigation, F.S. and G.J., in the quality of officials, it is suspected that residence permits for foreign citizens have been issued in co-ordination, enabling them to obtain relevant documentation and, according to allegations, illegally benefiting property benefits.


Meanwhile, D.K. It allegedly forged various documents in order to enable other persons to apply and illegally equip themselves with permission to stay in Kosovo.

The communique reportedly that the State Prosecutor, within the legal deadline, will consider the possibility of submitting the request for the appointment of any of the security measures against the suspects, in line with the Penal Procedure Code provisions.

Pristina, July 22nd, 2026-The Constitutional Prosecutorship in Pristina, the Department of Criminal Crime, respectively, announces the public opinion that, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police and the Kosovo Agency for Intelligence (AKI), following the development of several months of investigations and implementation of particular investigative measures, by the state prosecutor's order three (3) people for 48 hours have been detained.

Of the banned persons, two (2) are in the quality of official persons at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. One of them official at Foreign Division, while the other is official at the Civil Record Agency (ARC).

According to allegations based on the initial phase, suspects with F.S. initials, and G.J., in the quality of official persons, are suspected to have committed criminal work The use of office or official authority by Article 14 of the Republic of Kosovo Penal Code, as well as the suspect with the initial D.K., suspected of carrying out the criminal act, CHA.

Also, the ongoing investigation results in suspects F. The U.S., and G.J., in the quality of official persons are suspected, that in co-ordination, residence permits for foreign citizens have been issued, enabling them to obtain documentation equipment, through which they allegedly benefited property illegally.

Meanwhile, the suspect with the initial D.K. allegedly forged various documents in order to enable other persons to apply and illegally equip themselves with permission to stay in the Republic of Kosovo.

The state prosecutor, within the legal deadline, will consider the possibility of submitting the request for the appointment of any of the security measures against the suspects, in line with the Penal Procedure Code provisions.
