For the 250th anniversary, Trump receives gift a luxury diamond ring

US President Donald Trump is expected to receive a gift from a luxury gold ring decorated with hundreds of precious stones, which has been worked by the diamond community at Belgium's Antwerp in honour of the 250th anniversary of US independence.
According to the AP, the ring was handed over to US Ambassador to Belgium Bill White, who will introduce President Trump, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
According to a White House official, by Thursday the ring had not yet been handed over to the president.
In a prerecorded message during the ceremony organised in Brussels for the US 250th anniversary, Trump thanked donors.
A special thank-you to my friends from Antwerp for the magnificent ring-in-the-arms, he said.
The ring has been worked in 18-karat gold and contains 321 diamonds, 56 sapphires, 13 emeralds and six rubines.
It houses numerous American symbols, including two letters “”, American flag, 1776 and 2026, numbers 45 and 47 in the form of Superman logo, an eagle with wings of diamonds, a shield of rubies and olive branches with emeralds, and inscription “250 %Y EARS USA”
The inside is engraved with the message: “Crafted in Antwerp for Donald John Trump” (“Used for Donald John Trump”).
The gift comes just months after the Belgian diamond industry benefited from the removal of American tariffs for import of refined diamonds.
Neither AWDC nor Belgian goldsmith David Gottlieb, who fulfilled the ring, have made public its official value.
However, two independent jewelry experts have estimated it to be between 25 thousand and $350,000, where about half the cost is related to precious materials and the rest to artisanal production.
According to the Associated Press, American Ethics experts have raised concerns that Trump has left the long-term practice of American presidents avoiding accepting such high-value gifts. /Periscope/
