Argentina journalist explodes on charges: Mexico's Cartel forced Ecuador to lose, threatened players, and their families

A statement by Argentinian journalist Eduardo Feinmann has triggered numerous reactions on the eve of the World match between Mexico and England.
Speaking to Radio Mitre, Feinmann claimed that some Ecuador's footballers had received threats from a Mexican cartel prior to the 1/16 final match against Mexico, which the Ecuadorans lost by 2-0 at the Azteca Stadium.
The World's"issue is quite complicated because it appears that there have already been threats from a Mexican cartel directed at Ecuador's footballers. They contacted five players, providing specific details for their families in Ecuador and Mexico. It's shocking".
They were threatened to lose that day at the Azteca Stadium against Mexico".
This is what drug cartels are, it's shocking. And it seems that they want Mexico to become world champion in 2026 at all costs", reports Telegrafi, broadcast Periscope
However, according to the Mexican portal De10.mx, neither FIFA nor the Ecuadoran Football Federation have officially confirmed the existence of these threats so far.
Before the match, the Ecuadoran Federation had expressed disappointment only with events taking place near the hotel where the national community was accommodated, specifically about noise, serentia and the use of pyrotechnic vehicles outside the team's location.
The match between Mexico and Ecuador took place on July 1st and ended with the country's 2-0 victory.
In the 1/8th phase of the final, Mexico will face England at Azteca Stadium, at a meeting scheduled to take place on 6 July. /Periscope
