Clinton for the US 250th anniversary: America is a period of deep divisions

Former US President Bill Clinton has published a critical but optimistic statement about the state of the United States on the eve of the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Clinton described the current moment as a period of “deep divisions”, while recalling that the founders of the US, in 1776, launched an unusual political experiment on time.
The statement says that the country's founders <x0 strengths a radical experiment and declared a new nation based on the ideal of equality”.
Clinton warned that, during American history, there have always been forces intended to reverse the expansion of rights and freedoms.
At each step, there have been forces that have sought to undo the expansion of our rights and freedoms to more people”, the statement said.
Not to mention President Donald Trump by name, Clinton sharply criticised “ates that are in power”, accusing them of using state power for political and personal purposes. He cited “agents disguised in American communities”, the launch of a “unconstitutional war fight” and the use of government “to resolve personal scores, prosecute opponents, suppress freedom of speech and turn the federal government into a new source of self-profit and their allies”.
According to Clinton, these developments are taking place with “the assistance of life appointed ones at the Supreme Court and an obedient Congress”.
However, the former Democrat president said he remained optimistic about the country's future, returning a message from his first inaugural speech in 1993.
There's nothing wrong with America that can't recover from what's right in America”, Clinton said. /Periscope/
