Trump: Today we have ended the war with Iran, the American troops will return home.

US President Donald Trump has declared that the conflict with Iran is over and that a historic agreement has been reached between the two sides, under which Tehran officially commits never to own nuclear weapons.
According to the American president, the agreement represents a historic moment in relations between the two countries and ends a period of tensions that for months had raised concerns about a broader conflict in the Middle East, reports CNN.
“They agreed never to have nuclear weapons, which we have insisted on. We closed our accounts with Iran today. People will start coming home very soon”, Trump said in front of his supporters.
He stressed that the agreement documents are almost finalised and that the process is entering the final phase, while one of the main results will be the close return of American soldiers from the region.
Trump especially singled out the aspect related to the Iranian nuclear programme, describing it as the biggest achievement of negotiations.
The most important thing is that there will be no nuclear weapons in Iran. This means that they will not only not develop, nor will they buy”, he said.
The American president also indicated that, during the negotiations, he had requested additional guarantees to close any possibility of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons from other sources.
There was a clause under which they would not develop weapons. I asked them: What about the purchase? I was told this wasn't involved. Two days later, they agreed. We got everything we wanted”, Trump added.
His statements come after he had earlier announced that the signing ceremony of the agreement could take place over the weekend in Europe, formally marking the end of the conflict.
Trump said the agreement would have not only political and military influence, but also significant economic and geopolitical consequences for the region and international markets.
I don't know if you heard, but today we have ended the war with Iran. They agreed never to have nuclear weapons, which we have insisted on. We closed our accounts with Iran today. People will start coming home very soon”, Trump said.
