Slovenia warns it will draw recognition of Palestine

Slovenia's prime minister, Janez Janša, has warned a significant change in the country's foreign policy, suggesting that the new government intends to suspend or withdraw recognition of Palestine and move the Slovenian embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
In an interview for the Israeli newspaper Israel HayomJanša criticised the previous government's decision to recognise Palestine, naming it illegal and contrary to Slovenian legislation, writes SloveniatemesPeriscope broadcast.
According to him, suspending this decision was one of the main conditions for forming the ruling coalition and is supported by coalition partners.
If the transfer of the embassy to Jerusalem is also realised, Slovenia would become the first European Union member to take such a step.
