(3 hours ago)Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj has become a boy's father for the second time.
It is learned that the mayor has been approved by the Special Permission Prosecutor and is currently traveling to the Koco Gliozen maternity ward, where he will visit the baby and the wife.
It is learned that the permit, signed by Special Prosecutor Olsy Dado, has been granted for 48 hours.
The couple are also parents of a son, Kayan, who came to life in October 2018.
Veliaj has been in prison since February 10th, 2025.
The Special Prosecutor has filed a series of charges against him, including passive corruption in some cases, money laundering, property failure, abuse of office and introduction of forbidden items in prison.
