(7 days ago)Pristina's chairman, Progress Rama, has reacted after the Ministry of Infrastructure announced the signing of contracts worth 4.67m euros for scarpathing on the “Ibrahim Rugova” highway, linking this development to the tragic accident that took place a day earlier on this highway, where one person lost his life.
In a Facebook post, Rama said that “Kosovo woke up with the tragic news of losing lives on highway”, while today, it became known that the removal of land that “for years was left untreated” would cost citizens 4.67m euros.

This is the clearest picture of a government that reacts only when it is too late”, he wrote.
Rama criticised incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti, claiming he continues to blame the past for the actual failures.
“Albin Kurti continues to talk about the state that has found “in the basement with half a meter of water”. You found the state with highways built, and today you can't even afford to stay. For any failure, the past is to blame, while for every propaganda it takes credit itself. This government is a champion of words, promotional videos and media conferences, but when it comes to responsibility, silence becomes its official policy. A power that invests more in propaganda than in solving real problems does not represent the change he promised. It represents the arrogance, inability, and culture of endless excuses, while the consequences pay citizens with their lives and their taxes”, he wrote.
A woman died while a man was injured in a vet yesterday at noon on the <x0-ferrahim Ruogova” highway. Democratic League of Kosovo officials said this happened because of the road situation and demanded responsibility from institutions.
