Police with additional measures in support of election process development

Kosovo police have held information and co-ordination meetings today about the voting process, which is held 7 June.
They held the first meeting with regional directors and Kosovo Police Departments, while second with representatives of justice institutions.
“Under preparations for the management of the June 7th election process, Kosovo Police have held information and co-ordination meetings today with its management structures and representatives of local and international relevant institutions”, the Police report said.
The first “Meeting took place at the Pristina Police General Directorate at 13:15, with regional directors and directors of the Kosovo Police Departments, where it was discussed operational planning, security measures and police commitments in office to ensure a safe and secure election process on the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo”.
The “in the second meeting from 14:15 attended representatives of justice institutions, the Central Election Commission (KQZ), as well as representatives of international organisations and missions that monitor and support the election process. During this meeting, police preparations were introduced, planned security measures and inter-institute co-ordination mechanisms for election day”.
The operational tasks and responsibilities and co-ordination activities before, during and after the voting process were also presented at these meetings.
“Kosovo Police General Director Colonel Gazmend Hoxha stressed the importance of professional and impartial engagement of all police officials, praising that the election process has so far been characterised by a quiet and incident-free situation that would affect public safety or the normal development of electoral activities”.
“During the meetings were also introduced operational tasks, institutional responsibilities and co-ordination activities that will be undertaken before, during and after the voting process, with particular focus on preserving public order, the safety of polling stations and ensuring free exercise of the right of vote by citizens”./ Periscope.
