Kurti says the president's election must be made in co-operation with the opposition: We Are Ready for Communication

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has declared that the voting counting process has not yet ended, stressing that the final results will enable the launch of discussions on future political steps.
“We are still waiting for the vote count. Votes are still coming and counting. In the case of closing the vote counting we will be able to start talking about future steps. You should remember what's obvious again, that the Vetevendosje Movement is the undisputed winner along with our pre-election coalition partners. We will be bearers of the establishment of institutions of the 11th legislature”, he has declared, says eo.
Kurti has also expressed optimism about the process of constitutionalising the new government's new constitution and formation.
“I am optimistic that things will go well even with respect to the constitution, even with regard to the formation of Government”, it is expressed.
Speaking of electing the new president or president, Kurti has stressed that this process requires co-operation with opposition parties, due to constitutional requirements for securing the necessary votes.
“As far as electing the president, you know it must be done in co-operation with the opposition due to that request of a Constitutional Court act more than a decade ago, requiring 80 MPs to face their own secret votes in the box. We're ready, we're willing, we're interested in communication and co-operation, but this is nothing new on our side”, he added.
