Kosovo diplomatic representatives voted in 30 tomorrow

On Saturday (June 6th), the doors of 17 embassies and 13 consulates of the Republic of Kosovo will open to vote on all Kosovo citizens who have been registered for the country's vote.
Tomorrow, exactly 7: 00 a.m., the embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Ankara and the consulate in Istanbul will be the first diplomatic representatives to open the doors to wait for the vote of 182 registered voters.
After Turkey, the voting process for early elections for the Kosovo Assembly will continue in the 15 states of Europe, where 26,230 other voters, such as: Germany (13,319), Switzerland (5,078), United Kingdom (1,395), Belgium (1,268), France (1,187), Austria (1,125), Slovenia (717), Norway (691), Italy (338), Sweden (280)), Denmark (60), Netherlands (174), Croatia (171), Hungary (134) and the Czech Republic (93).
The final step of this process will take place across the Atlantic. For 1,312 voters living in the United States and Canada, polling stations will be open in four large centres: Washington, New York, Ottawa and Toronto.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elez has indicated to Kosova Prees that 47 polling seats will be opened at polling stations in the 30 diplomatic representations of the state of Kosovo to enable the vote of more than 27 thousand Kosovo citizens.
On June 6th, the voting process in Kosovo's Parliament elections will take place in 17 embassies and 13 consulates, located in 18 different states of the world. Out of 132,212 voters outside Kosovo, the right to vote in these diplomatic representations have only 27,724 Kosovo citizens, who have been registered in advance and elected physical voting in any of these 30 missions. Election materials have been sent to these representatives and they are ready for voters”, Elez said.
According to Elez at the time when the vote on diplomatic representation will end, the vote through the post, which has started more than two weeks ago.
Then all the collected votes will be withdrawn to Kosovo to count.
The “Before Election Day in Kosovo -- that is, June 6th -- will also end voting abroad for about 104,488 registered voters to vote through mail, which has started on 21 May. All these voters, they have had 17 days for the ballot package, which they have accepted from the CEC, to be sent to one of the open mailboxes in 23 different states of the world, including Kosovo. The ballots belonging to the vote on diplomatic representation and the post office vote will be withdrawn and their count will take place in Kosovo”, Elez said.
According to Elez, it is the legal obligation for the CEC for Kosovo citizens registered to vote from outside Kosovo to leave the list of voters within Kosovo, which is distributed in the polls on Election Day.
Meanwhile, all Kosovo citizens, who live abroad and who are not registered to vote outside Kosovo, are on the Voters' List within Kosovo and will be able to vote at their destination if they are physically located in Kosovo on Election Day.
On June 7th, Kosovo citizens will turn to ballot boxes to elect the XI legislature and the new government. The voting process will take place at 949 polling stations with a total of 2,550 seats. In 911, the 2.498 vote centre Regular voting will be allowed, meanwhile, to 38 other centres -- from one in each municipality, with 52 pollings -- will be allowed on bail.
