Car gets between fans in Mexico, 17 injured.

At least 17 people were left injured after a vehicle was introduced amid a crowd of fans celebrating the victory of Mexico's national World Cup 2026.
According to a joint statement by local authorities and Los Cabos municipal police, the event took place around 21:05 local time at Lázaro Cárdenas Boulevard, at the Cabo San Lucas resort.
Authorities announce that the vehicle crashed into the crowd during mass celebrations organised after the triumph of the Mexican national world.
“The event occurred during a large crowd of citizens celebrating the victory of Mexico's national World Cup FIFA, causing some people to be injured”, the official statement said.
According to authorities, the driver of the vehicle, which was moving on that road, was surrounded by persons blocking the passage and exercised physical pressure on his vehicle. Under those circumstances, he made an unexpected acceleration by slamming several pedestrians.
Suspected videos allegedly showing the moment of the incident have also begun to circulate on social networks.
Another statement by authorities confirms that at least 17 people have remained injured.
Emergency services and police immediately arrived at the scene to provide first aid to the injured and launch investigations into the circumstances of the incident.
So far, complete causes of the event or health and injuries have not been disclosed, while authorities have announced that investigations are continuing.
