“Is acting as a party owner, arrogant of the heads of the Lipjan of Peja", Agim Veliu reacts sharply to Lumir Abdjik

Agim Veliu has reacted to recent developments within the Democratic League of Kosovo, where there have been requests to the party's chairman, Lumir Abdijxhiku, to resign. Veliu, these demands have assessed them as legitimate and fair.
In his reaction, Veliu also added that, under Obadiah's leadership, the LDK has remained confined to third place, and that, following several election cycles without the promised results, standing at the helm of the party without political reflection is seen as a lack of responsibility and an obstacle to reforming the LDK.
Even more disturbing was Obadiah's presumptuous reaction to the mayors of Lipjan, Peja, and a branch in the capital, who demanded his resignation. Instead of reflecting on criticism, he reacted by calling for the resignation of two branch leaders who have constantly won elections in their municipalities, while himself refuses to answer for the party's results at the central level, Veliu wrote among others.

The demands for Lumir Abdixhik's resignation are completely legitimate and fair. They stem from the fact that he took credit for any alleged success, so he must also assume responsibility for the failure.
Under his direction, the LDK remained confined to third place, unable to return as a serious alternative to power, despite major promises and full control over the party.
After several election cycles without promised results, the party's position at the helm without political reflection is seen as a lack of responsibility and an obstacle to reforming the LDK.

Acting as a party owner rather than as elected chairman, Abdixhik is sending the message that in LDK those who seek accountability are punished, not those who fail.
When a leader seeks to silence critics, punish winners and defend himself from political responsibility, the problem is no longer just the election result. The problem is how he understands democracy, internal debate and the party's own functioning. /Periscope/
