KFOR for the Bondsteel bombings: They were routine activities

Ferizaj residents reported that during the night between Wednesday and Thursday, they have heard several detonators suspected of coming from the area around the Bondsteel military camp.
In this case, KFOR indicated it was about actions planned under regular mission operations.
“KFOR can confirm that the blasts that were heard were part of the ECOD's (EOD Amnitance Lossion). These activities are conducted regularly as part of KFOR's continued mandate to ensure a safe environment for all people living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
“Operations such as these include training exercises, which are essential to preserving the readiness and effectiveness of our forces”, was said in response to Klan Kosova from the KFOR Public Relations Office.
The peacekeeping mission also stressed that they will continue informing the public of their activities when necessary, with the aim of providing accurate and transparent information. / Clen Kosovo
