US-Iran Conflict: Talks expected to continue

Nearly two weeks after the signing of a Framework Agreement, the conflict between the US and Iran escalated again. But despite the exchange of attacks on both sides, peace talks are said to continue.

The conflict between the US and Iran was recently escalated through bilateral attacks. Following US air attacks on targets on Iran's southern coast, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard threw missiles and fears of US military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.

Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that the navy and the Air Force, in a missile operation and fears, have destroyed eight infrastructure facilities of the US Army. It's a target at the U.S. Air Force Base Ali AléSalem in Kuwait and the 5th US Navy fleet in Mina Salman in Bahrain.

Bahrain confirmed an Iranian attack with fears and rockets. The Foreign Ministry called it a dangerous “escalation”. The Kuwaiti Army had announced during the night that air defence is opposed to hostile missile attacks and fears.

During the night before dawn on Sunday, the US Armed Forces went through the second wave of attacks on Iran since the signing of the Framework Agreement. According to the regional command Centcom, several targets have been hit between their air defence positions, drone depots and monitoring infrastructure.

Iran and the US accused each other of violating the temporary ceasefire. The American Central Command, responsible for the region, announced that its attacks are a direct response to continued Iranian aggression against trade navigation, DW reports, broadcasts Periscope.

On Saturday, a tanker sailing under the Panama flag was attacked by an Iranian threat in the Strait of Hormuz. US attacks targeted Iranian targets for military surveillance, communications, air defense, as well as storage for threat and installations.

US President Donald Trump threatened on his social networking platform that the US could be forced to complete the intervention militarily. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!”, he wrote.

The government in Tehran said the US attacks violated the war outcome agreement launched four months ago with US and Israeli attacks against Iran. Revolutionary Guard said the US attacks would lead to a complete break-up of all diplomatic processes. The American bases in the region “will experience hell in the days following”.

From Washington it was said there are no annulments. According to some media, referring to government representatives, talks are expected to continue Tuesday in Qatar's capital, Doha. /Periscope/
