Hargrees: Kosovo needs new institutions as soon as possible, people are hoping these will be last elections this year

United Kingdom Ambassador to Kosovo Jonathan Hargrees has voiced hope that after the election process, political parties reach agreement on forming institutions and electing the country's new president.
Speaking to Kosovo priss during the monitoring of the election process in Zubin Potok, Hargrees said he and other diplomats are part of the diplomatic monitoring team co-ordinated by the European Union, known as “Diplore Watch”, which is monitoring developments throughout Kosovo.
Our “Our work is to make sure that we have a clear mirror all over Kosovo for what is happening. The people at the polling stations have been very helpful and hospitable. I want to congratulate them and all those who are enabling the prosperity of these” elections, Hargrees said.
Asked whether he hopes these will be the last elections for the next four years, the British ambassador said many citizens in Kosovo share the same expectation.
I have the impression that many people in this country hope these are the last elections for this year. If you have to go to the elections again, that's what's going to happen. But it would be very good if after these elections political parties could reach an agreement, not only for the assembly and the government, but also for the election of President”, he said.
According to Hargreaves, it is in the interest of Kosovo for new institutions to be formed as soon as possible.
Commenting on the presidential election issue and the ranking of institutional processes, he said this remains the responsibility of political parties.
This is entirely up to political parties to resolve it among themselves. I just think that Kosovo needs a assembly, a government and a president as soon as possible, while parties belong to determine the ranking and outcome of this process”, the British ambassador stressed. / Periscope/
