Special refuses Haxhi Shala to go on family vacation in Albania

Former Kosovo Liberation Army superior (UÇK), Haxhi Shala, known as the commander Topi, was not allowed by the Special to travel to Albania with his family.
The specialist, through a media communique, has said that such a trip is fundamentally incompatible with the stated sentence and that parole should not be terminated unless there are convincing legal or humanitarian reasons.
On June 23rd 2026, President Trendafilova rejected Haxhi Shala's request to travel to Albania for a short break, while he is serving the remainder of the sentence under conditions imposed after his release to Kosovo”, the Special's decision reported.
“Topi”, accused by the Special that along with Sabit Januzin and Ismet Bahitari, he has arranged meetings with a witness in an attempt to influence him to withdraw from the testimony.
