CEC: Count Ends in Gjilan, Prizren, Process Continues Only in Pristina

Central Election Commission spokesman Valmir Elezi has announced that the process of verification and counting votes for the June 7th early parliamentary elections is towards completion at the country level, while remaining to be closed only in the municipality of Pristina.
According to data published by the CEC, by Friday at 4: 00 p.m., the process of verification and counting has ended in 37 of the 38 Municipal Counting Centres (QKN), while 2,425 of the 2,498 seats have been processed, or 97.07 percent of them.
Elez has indicated that during Friday the process has also been completed in Gjilan and Prizren, while the count continues only in Pristina, where 189 of the 262 seats have been processed so far. In the capital, 73 locations remain to be counted.
Meanwhile, the count of votes coming from Kosovo diplomatic representations abroad is continuing at the Counting and Results Centre. By five o'clock, 23 out of a total of 47 seats organised in 30 diplomatic representations in 18 different states have been counted.
According to the CEC, 22,860 citizens from 27,724 registered voters, making up 82.46 per cent of registered voters, participated in the diplomatic vote.
Elez has also announced that the process of assessment of the package with ballots is continuing. By June 11th, about 42,000 packages have been considered, out of which 40,414 have been approved, while 1,447 have been refused. The main reason for the rejection, according to the CEC, has been the lack of registration policy, the necessary document for the validity of the post office vote.
The CEC has indicated that the results are constantly updated on the official platform once each poll is completed.
