CEC: Out of 23 thousand vetted diaspora packages, 22,601 are approved

The CEC has announced with the progress of activities at the Counting and Results Centre, where the process of assessment of alleged package packages with ballots from voting outside Kosovo is continuing, respectively, from voting via mail that have so far been brought to Kosovo. The goal is to prove whether these packages were sent by registered voters to vote via mail.
Until the end of Wednesday (June 10th), 2026) in the evaluation process are included more than 23 thousand and 300 packages, of which 22,601 have already been aided, 755 have been rejected. The most obvious reason why these packages have been rejected is because in 699 cases there is a lack of registration, a document with unique data, which the registered voter accepts by the CEC”, Elez said.
According to the CEC, this process started on June 9th 2026, at 16 o'clock, and aims to verify whether these packages were sent to registered voters. At the end of this evaluation process, the CEC will publish the data for the minute package with supposed ballotings, which will be counted at the Counting and Results Centre.
During Monday, June 8th, the process of pulling parcels belonging to the vote outside Kosovo has been completed, respectively. The withdrawal of the ballot package was made from CEC mailboxes in 22 different states, as well as from the CEC mailbox in Kosovo. Out of 23 mailboxes, more than 85700 alleged ballot packages have been withdrawn, a portion of which have been brought to Kosovo.
During the census period (6 May 17th, 2026), the number of citizens registered to vote via mail in early elections for the Kosovo Assembly is 104,480 voters.
