Yoao Cancelo says it openly: Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar have nothing to testify about

Joao Cancelo has come to the defense of Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, insisting that the two world football supersaws have nothing to witness to their critics at the 2026 World Cup.
Prior to Portugal's match against Uzbekistan, Ronaldo has faced numerous criticism following his appearance in the 1-1 draw against Congo.
Portuguese captain has already reached 10 consecutive matches without marking in major tournaments with Portugal, Cup Worlde and European Champions, the longest goalless series in his international career.
On the other hand, Neymar has not yet played for Brazil in this World because of a pulpa injury, though he is expected to be ready for the latest fight in the anti-Seczetian group phase.
However, Cancelo believes neither Ronald nor Neymar need to justify themselves before anyone.
I don't think that Neymar or Cristiano should testify to anything. Their talent and what they have accomplished in football speaks for themselves”.
All those discussions are just noise. Both Cristiano and Neymar know who they are and what they represent for their countries”, the Portuguese defender declared.
Recently, speculation has been added that Ronaldo's presence may be more a barrier than helping Portugal, but Cancelo flatly denied that.
We're more united, we're stronger. We're playing in the World Cup and there's a lot of noise and tension, but this is part of the” game.
Our focus is on the team. We're more united than when we got here. No tension”.
Cancelo went on to praise the Portuguese captain, calling him an example for the whole group.
He's an example as captain. He reacted as a captain with a lot of experience. He wants to contribute and he's a model for our team”.
It creates spaces with its movements. Statistics support him. Perhaps it is the greatest example of how to recover and train”.
The defender, however, acknowledged that the team shares the disappointment of the results and so-called presentations.
But that doesn't take away the frustration that we all have as team”, he concluded. /Telegrafi/
