Albania's police with strict moves ahead of friendly to Luxembourg

Before the match with Israel there were clashes between protesters and rule forces, while the police's intentions for this match are for the typhogroups not to meet outside the stadium either.

"Plan measures to ensure order and security before, during and after the development of the friendly football match between Albania's national teams and Luxembourg, which will be held on the 06.06.2026, at 8400, at “Air Albania” Stadium.

For the prosperity of this event, starting between 5: 00 p.m. and the end of the match, State Police, in co-operation with Tirana's Municipal Police, will apply temporary driving restrictions on some road premises in the vicinity of the stadium.

The roads that will be blocked from 5:00 till the end of the match are:

-The “witness to the nation”, from the “Rogner” hotel in direction of “below Teresa”;

-Road “RTH's;

-Road “Dervis Hima”, near the US Embassy;

- “Asim Zeneli”, near the US Embassy;

-Road “RTH's;

-The “leKu Duagjini”, near the former Republic Guard, the entrance corridor to the parking lot only designed for FSF authorized tools;

-Road “Abdyl Frasher”, near the intersection of the University Book;

-Prepare “Sami Frasher”, just before the end of the match.

The Elbasan Road, the Ring and the boulevard “Bajram Curri” will be free for flow of tools.

In implementing the measures plan, state police officers will exercise detailed control over fans before entering the stadium, with the aim of preventing the introduction of patrols with racist content, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics, metal coins, umbrellas, lighters, mobile phone clips, vehicles and cosmetic products, and other strong items that can endanger the life and health of participants.

The entrance to the stadium starts at 6:00.

For ensuring order and security during this sports event, State Police have engaged a considerable number of police workers”, states State Police.
