Trump leaves Beijing with a few victories, but with warm words for Xi

US President Donald Trump left China on Friday without any major progress in trade or tangible aid from Beijing to end the war with Iran, despite the two days he spent praising his host, Xi Yinging.
Trump's visit to America's top strategic and economic rival -- the first by an American president since his last trip in 2017 -- had targeted tangible results to boost his low approval assessments before the mid-term elections in November, Reuters reports.
Xi will visit the US in the autumn at Trump's invitation, said China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
