Tehran wants the release of 24 billion dollars from frozen funds in any deal with the US

Iran wants 24 billion dollars from its frozen funds to be released in any memorandum of understanding with the US, according to a report by Iran's Tasnim news agency.
The agency quoted a source close to Iran's negotiating team as saying Tehran has demanded that half of the frozen funds abroad be made available when the memorandum is announced.
According to the report, Iranian senior negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibach has travelled to Qatar to reach an agreement on how to apply the demand.
Washington has not yet responded to claims in Tasnim's report, Telegraphy broadcast.
Donald Trump said at the weekend that the U.S. and Iran had “mostly made” a memorandum of understanding on a peace deal to reopen Hormuz Strait.
Iran's Foreign Ministry said earlier that conclusions have been reached on many topics discussed in the possible 14-point memorandum. /Telegraph
