PZAP leaves CEC's decision on Serbia's opposition non-servation for June elections in effect

The Electoral Panel for Anxiety and Parashtre (PZAP) has rejected the complaint of the joint list of Serbian opposition parties in Kosovo, “Basca we win”, against the Central Election Commission's decision (KQZ) not to certified it for participation in the June 7th parliamentary elections.
PZAP said on Saturday that after making the complaint and evidence assessment, it came to the conclusion that the Serbian opposition's complaint was <x0 unbaised and unstable”.
She said the “Basca list won” had failed to meet the conditions needed to participate in next month's elections even after the CEC had asked him to do so, writes REL, broadcast Periscope.
The Electoral Commission did not certified that day earlier after it found it had not met the legal criteria for the necessary number of signatures of at least 1,000 sosh.
On the list of “Baska win” there were candidates from six Serbian opposition political subjects in Kosovo: The Serbian People's Movement, the Alliance of Kosovo, New Face and Serbian Democracy, as well as civic initiatives North for All and Roots.
PZAP stressed that the commission had concluded that this list had handed out 1,087 supporting signatures, but 576 of them lacked telephone numbers, while 80 people from the signing list were not accessible in the given numbers. Some had even claimed that they had not signed personally.
The CEC did not eventually certified the “Basca we win” even after asking it to complete the signing list, saying it had failed to hand it over within the required deadline.
The “Basca list won” could complain at the Supreme Court of Kosovo over the PZAP decision.
Foreign political subjects are obliged to hand over at least 1,000 supporting signatures to participate in the elections.
The “Basca list wins” claims it's about a “precedent”, as the delivery of phone numbers to all signatories has not been imposed on previous election processes.
It also claims to have delivered about 1,400 signatures, more than the legal condition.
Three coalitions -- 17 political parties and an independent candidate -- have been certified for participation in the upcoming June 7th elections.
By Serbian political subjects, the participation of the Serbian List and the Party for Freedom, Justice and Survival of Nenad Rashiqi has been confirmed.
Early parliamentary elections in Kosovo are under way, as Kosovo's Assembly failed to elect the new president within the constitutional deadline.
Political parties reached no consensus about electing the president after Vjosa Osmani completed the five-year term in early April.
These will be the third parliamentary elections in the last 18 months in Kosovo, following elections held in February and December 2025. /Periscope
