Lost a rescue diver in Maldive, searching for the troops of Italian tourists

A rescue diver has died in the Maldives while searching for the bodies of five Italian citizens who died in a diving accident.
Staff Sergeant Mohammed Mahdhee was taken to hospital in critical condition and later passed away from his injuries, a government spokesman said. BBC Saturday, broadcast Periscope.
The five Italians died trying to explore caves at a depth of about 50 meters (164 m). So far, only one of their troops is thought to have been found in a cave at a depth of about 60 meters (197 m).
The incident is believed to be the worst diving accident in the small Indian Ocean nation, a popular tourist destination because of its string of coral islands.
Maldive President Mohammed Muizzu travelled to Athelin Vaavu on Saturday to observe the search operations.
All eight rescue divers broke into the water today. When they surfaced, they realized that Mr. Mahdhee had not emerged", Mohammed Hossain Shareef, a spokesman for the Maldive government, told the BBC.
Other divers immediately entered the water again and discovered that Mahdhee had lost consciousness. /Periscope/
