Italian cababiniers report patrols to northern Mitrovica: Support for the Free Movement of All

KFOR has announced that, military police Carabinieri, has conducted patrols in northern Mitrovica. KFOR's announcement adds that police conduct these patrols regularly, with the aim of ensuring a safe and secure environment.
The report also says these activities reflect KFOR's commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment and to support freedom of movement for all people living in Kosovo.

The Carabinier Military Police, which has been assigned to the Multinational Specialised Unit (MSU), part of the NATO-led Kosovo Force mission (KFOR), regularly conducted patrols in North Mitrovica/ Severna Mitrovica with the aim of ensuring a safe and secure environment.
These activities help preserve situation awareness and reflect KFOR's commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment and to support freedom of movement for all people living in Kosovo, transparently and impartially.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo and for freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission to Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security respondents.
