The indictment against former Gjakova Hospital official enabled the worker to get a salary without going to work

According to the indictment, among other things, the defendant with the initials Mr.M., from January 2019 to the end of 2023 in the quality of the official person using office or official authority, has deliberately failed to fulfill his duties as Director of the Department of Administration and Assistance Services at the General Hospital “Iisa Grezda” in Gjakova, with the goal of benefiting the other person's wealth-in-the-J.Z, in the same way that contradicted by 48/06 Law. L-114 for public officials, such as supervisor and competent authority even though it was publicly announced by Mr.R., for the labour shortage, the same has not begun the disciplinary procedure on the basis of concrete facts and proven violation of obligations by the J.Z. officer, employed in Hospital in the position of Operator in statistics, enabling the same one to receive the total salary of 21,473.42 without appearing at work and for the period 2019-2023, with what Kosovo budget has been caused of material damage.

With these actions, the defendant reportedly committed criminal work “The use of official position or authority”.

The prosecutor of the case in the case of setting up the indictment has proposed to the court that the defendant be found guilty and be punished according to the law on criminal acts that are imposed on him, as well as to issue the additional sentence “halting the exercise of functions in public administration or public service”.
