Construction costs increase in Kosovo, A SK: Prices rose by 4.3% within a year

Kosovo's Statistics Agency has indicated that the overall Construction Cost Index in Kosovo (IKN) has marked growth during the first quarter of 2026.
According to AKS data, in TM1 2026, compared to TM4 2025, construction costs have increased by 2.5 percent. The greatest impact on this growth has been on transportation by 5.9 percent, wages at 2.8 percent, other costs at 2.6 percent, materials at 2.5 percent, and machines at 0.5 percent. Meanwhile, the landing has only been recorded in energy, at 3.9 percent.
And compared with the same period in the preceding year, TM1 2025, the Construction Cost Index has increased by 4.3 percent.
The ASS points out that the largest annual increase in transport is estimated at 11.5 percent, followed by salaries at 8.6 percent, other costs at 6.2 percent, energy at 5.5 percent, materials at 3.2 percent, and machinery at 0.7 percent.
The data shows that the construction sector in Kosovo continues to face increased costs, mainly influenced by transport and labour power.
