Albania's big business meeting in Pristina, Yusa: Diaspora to invest more in Kosovo

Numerous Albanian businessmen living and operating in different European states, along with businessmen who carry out their business in Kosovo, have gathered in Pristina on Friday, at one of the largest Albanian economic meetings organised by the Global Network of Albanian Business.
Under the organisation of Albanian Global Business Network Chairman Omer Nura, as well as renowned businessman and philanthropist Shkelzen Yusaj, chairman of the Albanian Global Business Network and KGS organisation for Kosovo and Germany, the large hall of the Emerald Hotel was filled with participants.
The intense interest in the hotel also made it seem small to wait for the large number of businessmen present.
Almost for the first time after a long time, so many businesses from Kosovo and the diaspora became together in Pristina with a common goal: strengthening economic co-operation, establishing new business ties and increasing Albanian businesses in local and international markets.

This meeting is seen as an important opportunity for the unification of capital, experience and networks of Albanian businessmen wherever they act, turning Kosovo into an important point of connection between the diaspora and the local market.
Massive participation and the atmosphere created at the event proved that Albanian businesses have great potential for co-operation, development and expansion across borders.

Yussa, Albanian diaspora has always been close to Kosovo
In his speech, the renowned philanthropist and businessman Shkelzen Yussa, chairman of the Albanian Global Business Network and KGS organisation for Kosovo and Germany, praised the historic role of the Albanian diaspora in every stage of Kosovo's statehood.
Yussa said that the Albanian diaspora has always been close to Kosovo, not only in the most difficult periods, but also in the development, recovery and economic strengthening processes of the country. According to him, the Magyar contribution has not only been financial, but also moral, professional and strategic, helping Kosovo move forward at crucial times.
He stressed that, despite the many challenges facing them over the years, Kosovo businesses have never surrendered. Rather, they have shown endurance, courage and vision by creating jobs, supporting families, and gradually building a more stable economy for the country.
Businessman Yusa called on Albanian businesses in diaspora to invest as much in Kosovo as possible and to view the country as a real space for development, partnership and new economic opportunities.
It also appealed to boost co-operation between diaspora businesses and local producers so that Kosovo products can penetrate more vigorously in European and international markets.
According to Yusaj, the link between diaspora capital, international experience and local potential is a great opportunity for Kosovo.
He stressed that only through genuine co-operation, stable investment and support of local production can Kosovo's economy be strengthened even more and better prospects for new generations.
Nura, this network has managed to transform into an important platform of economic co-operation

According to Nura, this network today has managed to transform into an important platform for economic co-operation, thanks to the continued engagement of businesses that have believed in this mission and contributed to its growth.
Without your commitment, without your support and your belief in this network, we wouldn't have the success that we have today”, Nur said before those present.
He thanked all participating businesses for continued support, as well as the large number of businesspeople who joined this important meeting in Pristina.
Nura stressed that mass participation in this event is clear evidence that Albanian businesses have great interest in co-operation, investment and stronger ties between the diaspora and Kosovo.

The focus of the discussion was also the role of the Albanian diaspora, which was praised as an extraordinary economic force and as the important bridge for connecting Kosovo to European markets.
Haradinaj, businesses are country's main development engine
Haradinaj stressed that businesses are the main engine of developing the country, as through job, investment and entrepreneurial courage create jobs, maintain families and contribute directly to the strengthening of Kosovo's economy.
He said the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo views the private sector as key state partner, adding that Kosovo cannot build a secure future without strong economies, without local production and without concrete support for entrepreneurs.
According to Haradinaj, institutions should be closer to businesses, remove bureaucratic barriers and create conditions for local and diaspora capital to be invested more easily in Kosovo.
