Albanian arrested with 1kg heroin, cash available in Switzerland

During a search into a house on May 8, 2026, at Näfels, investigators from Glarus Canton Police found approximately a kilo of heroin and 1,700 Swiss francs in cash.

A 20-year-old Albanian was arrested in this case, broadcasts albinfo.ch, broadcasts Periscopi.

On Friday, May 8th 2026, investigators from Glarus Canton Police conducted a search at the residence of a 20-year-old Albanian citizen as part of an investigation into suspected drug trafficking, writes linth24.ch. About a kilo of heroin and about 1,700 Swiss francs in cash were seized.

The suspect was arrested and is now in custody.

Further investigation by the Glarus Cantonal Police are under way. The case is being handled by State Attorney and the Prosecutor's Office for the Mitur of Glarus Canton.
