Meteorologist, think tank Rugova, has warned that the extreme heat that has engulfed several European states will come to Kosovo and the countries of the region.
He has ruled out the possibility of temperatures passing even the 1982 record when he had scored 40.6 degrees Celsius in Prizren.
The extreme heat that is breaking records in parts of Western and central Europe, the following gradual days move even across the country and the region. According to forecasts, the highest temperatures in the country are expected to reach as much as 37C on Monday from the Kosovo plains, until 39C values reach the Dukagjin plain. Locally, maximum temperatures can also reach 40C, perhaps approaching or exceed the record value of June, registered on June 26, 1982, in Prizren, 40.6C.
