First proposal by the opposition: AAK willing to make the quorum for electing the president without entering the government, proposes developmental priority packages

The Alliance has emerged as the first party by the opposition to submit a proposal to unblock the institutional situation and enable the institution of new institutions, including the election of the president.
The Alliance's elected MP, Besnik Tahiri, has declared that the party is ready to support the formation of institutions without demanding government positions and without party benefits, seeking only a public agreement on six strategic priorities for development.
No post for itself, no party interest. Only an open agreement for citizens based on these six strategic demands” has Tahiri written on Facebook.
According to the Alliance's platform, support for institution creation will also be given without participation in the government, if some key pledges are accepted, including state-owned declaration of the American gas project, launching procedures for building a new coal-fired thermal power plant, increasing VAT thresholds for small businesses, release from land-owned tax, financing pending capital road projects, and creating a large investment fund for Pristina.
Alliance leader Ardian Gjini has also declared that the party is willing to help establish institutions and ensure quorum for electing the president if commitment is made to these priorities.
“We are willing to assist without any request, except for the clear pledge our institutions will meet our demands”, Djind has indicated, adding that the AAK will not prevent the institution's constitutionalisation.
According to him, the requirements include large infrastructure projects in several cities in the country, as well as important investments for the capital, Pristina, which according to the AAK should benefit a special development fund.
The Alliance has presented this package as a platform for exiting institutional blockades and as the basis for a political agreement that, according to it, would be in the interest of Kosovo citizens.
