Caporal Rico Pramudia was injured on March 29th, following a “entrenched shell <x1x2> on a UN Interim Force base in Lebanon (UNIFIL), SkyNews reports.
The incident claimed the life of another peacekeeper, during a period he saw two others killed in a separate incident about the end of March.
U n NIFIL announced this morning that the Pramudia Caporal was dead, changing lives from injuries received at a hospital in Beirut.
“We ask all actors to fulfil their obligations under international law and ensure the security of UN personnel and property at all times. Purposeful attacks on peacekeepers are serious violations of international humanitarian law and Security Council Resolution 1701, and could constitute war crimes”, the UN response reported.
