Netanyah denies reports: Trump did not ask Israel to stop operations against tunnels in Lebanon

During a cabinet meeting, Netanyah described these claims as untrue, stressing that there was no such request from Trump.

I heard reports in the media that President Trump has urged Israel not to act against terrorist tunnels in Lebanon. This is a myth, it's a false report”, Netanyah stated, according to Yet News.

The Israeli prime minister added that the issue has not been discussed among them.

He didn't tell me anything about it, and neither did I. We act on our assessments and security interests”, Netanyah said.

His statement came after reports in several media that the US administration had asked Israel to avoid escalating tensions at the border with Lebanon, not hitting the tunnels used by Hezbollah. However, Netanyahu flatly denied these claims, stressing that Israel's military decisions are taken independently. /Panorama
