Reactions by Africa's Bulnjak family following the Banjska Court's decision

Following the trial behind the cameras, Bunjak hero's sister, Fegjrie Behrami, expressed dissatisfaction with the sentence of three indictees. She says she has to be brought to justice too, Milan Radoic.

While before the court's trial process in the Constitutional Court begins in Banjska's case, KosovoPress also spoke of uncle Arton Bulnjak.

He said the family expects life in prison for the accused, stressing that justice should include other persons who have not yet faced the law.

We as family members expect to receive the maximum deserved sentence, with life imprisonment for this part of the accused, but also for the rest, who were part of the Banjska attack, to be brought to justice. We urge the international community to take measures so that the rest of the group will be brought to justice”, he said.

Speaking of suspects who have not yet been arrested for the Banjska case, including Milan Radojic, Bunjak described the situation as unfair.

The very fact that he is still on the run and on freedom and is protected by Belgrade is injustice. We demand from the international community and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo that as soon as it is brought to justice and received the maximum” sentence, he said.

He also recalled the day of September 24, naming it one of the most serious moments for family and country.

According to him, news of Africa's death took him in the early hours of the morning. He says the Bunjak family has not directly participated in the judicial process, stressing that it believes in the institutions of justice.

It was a painful day and we did not expect a part of Kosovo to be attacked in freedom. Not only the accession, but all those present and continue to be present are living heroes of this land”, said Bunjak. That terrorist attack left 50-year-old sergeant from Vushtrria, Afrem Bunnjaku, dead as police official Alban Rasiti was wounded and the Shaqiri Liberation, Mirsad Kryeziu and Sedat Dushi were injured.

Nearly a year after the attack, the Special Prosecution on 11 September has filed an indictment, with Milan Radojic among the top indictees as leader of the group.

According to the indictment, they have committed criminal work “the carrying out of terrorist activity” and criminal activity “heavy works against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo”, while some of them also for group financing, and money laundering. / KP/
