IPK seeks suspension of a sergeant and a lieutenant suspected of misuse of official duty

The Kosovo Police Inspectorate has recommended the suspension of a sergeant and a lieutenant.

Kosovo Police Inspectorate, respectively, has recommended the suspension of two police officials -- one in Mitrovice, and the other Gjilan -- with the Sergeant's Guard and the other with the lieutenant's rank.

The first case reportedly occurred in 15,04.26, according to initial investigations, there is suspicion that a police officer with the Sergeant's rank, during the exercise of official office committed criminal acts “Keq use of official position or authority” Article 414 of the Republic of Kosovo's Criminal Code.

The second case is reported to have occurred in 16,04.26, according to initial investigations, there is suspicion that the police officer with the lieutenant rank, while being interviewed in the Kosovo Police Inspectorate facilities, has been encountered, making unprecedented recordings of investigators and the interviewing process.

At the order of the State Prosecutor by the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina, a criminal case “has been initiated. Photo and other unauthorized Indices” by Article 202 of the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
