Undeclared merchandise seized and about 30 thousand euros in Han Elez, Dogana details

Kosovo Customs has reported that it has discovered commercial goods and undeclared money at the point of the Elez border crossing.
The report adds that, in a vehicle, goods were found that were not declared, and also, during vehicle and passenger management's search were found 29,900 euros in cash, which had not also been declared.
In this case, undeclared goods, monetary means and vehicle have been seized for further legal procedures. In line with the legal provisions in force, the first measures will be taken against the party, including the seizure of the percentage of monetary means under the decision of competent authority and procedures for customs counter-insulting”, the statement said.

Kosovo customs uncovers commercial goods and undeclared monetary means in Elez Hani
Elez's Hani Hani, July 06th, 2026, during routine checks at the entrance of the Republic of Kosovo, customs officials at the border crossing Point of Elez has discovered commercial goods and undeclared monetary means.
The North Macedonia license plates has been selected for control by customs officials, based on risk analysis and standard control procedures. During the initial interview, the driver of the vehicle has declared he had no goods or monetary means for statements.
During the physical control of the vehicle, however, an amount of commercial natural goods has been found, which had not been declared to the customs authorities. Also, during the vehicle and passenger management's search, 29,900 euros in cash were found, which had also not been declared.
True to Law No. 08/L-247 The Customs Code and the Actis of the Republic of Kosovo, each person has a legal obligation to declare goods that are subject to customs procedures, while failure to comply with customs and is subject to administrative and legal measures.
Also, based on legislation in force for control of cross-border transport of cash, any person who enters or leaves the Republic of Kosovo with 10,000 euros or more, or their countervalue in other currency or negotiable instruments, is obliged to declare them to the customs authorities. Disadmission of monetary means constitutes legal violations and brings administrative measures, including the temporary seizure of monetary means and the development of relevant procedures.
In this case, undeclared goods, monetary means and vehicle have been seized for further legal procedures. In line with the legal provisions in force, the first measures will be taken to the side, including confiscating the percentage of monetary means under the decision of competent authority and procedures for customs violations.
