Kosovo's MP from the PDK ranks, Blerta Deliu Kodra, has criticised the Government of Kosovo for speeding up parliamentary procedures to vote on bills it says need for electoral purposes.
Deliu in the Parliament's speaker has suggested that Kosovo is close to completing the constitutional deadline for electing the president, while saying government Kurti 3 is bringing the draft law to an artificial emergency.
The “divides us just a few days until the end of the constitutional deadline for electing the president, while what we're seeing in the plenary hearings and the work of the Parliament is that the Kurt government is doing what it can't do. So, I'm bringing laws with artificial emergency without public debate, no real consultation and no respect for parliamentary procedures. The Assembly commissions have been deliberately overwhelmed with bills that this Government has kept in the drawer for years. Now at the time of discussion about new elections, the Government is trying to pass quickly, not because the same laws are urgent for citizens, but because they need them for electoral propaganda”, Deliu said.
